Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

I will keep you updated for sure. Fingers crossed it is quick... because I will be glad to know one way or the other to be honest so I can start making plans. So, once you had decision made did you get a letter saying it was rejected? and then you filed an appeal? I'm not sure I'm...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Thank you! Although reading this again, and the letter they sent me in February, I am now questioning my entire thought process? I wish they had called me for an interview, I certainly offered to fly back for one if needed. Fingers crossed its good news, the last 15 months hasn't been easy.

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Urghhhh..... I feel physically sick. We looked into getting married but determined it wouldn't make any difference to our situation... we still wouldn't have met the requirements for the common-law category. They talked about sham marriages and to prevent them they simply require you live...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Oh Geez... if I didn't already feel sick because our status has just changed to DM, I do now. We applied under the conjugal category, for much of the same reasons. Plus we didn't qualify as common-law. We couldn't afford for me to be out of work whilst our application was processed, and my now...

Thank you for your reply...I hadn't given much thought to an interview, although when I replied to their letter back in February I said I was more than happy to fly back for one. :)

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Hi all.... its a while since I have posted anything but with nearly 15 months having gone by since we applied I need to pick your brains please. I am literally freaking out! So, we applied in May 2014 and our file was eventually transferred to London in September 2014 (long story but we had one...

In which stage are we ? PLEASE HELP!

Apparently I stand corrected - its not the 'average time'. But its still not bad news, it still could be alot quicker than the 17 months. Another memeber just said this: Actually the processing times posted on CIC site for the visa offices, do NOT say "average" time anywhere. Those are times...

Processing Times Updated for Visa Offices for sponsorship of spouses etc...!

Oh yeah...I see that...ooops. That’s annoying then, because when I have been looking at the actual webpage for the London VO, it says in massive letters 'These are only average processing times...'. Although looking again, it does refer back to the CIC site and from what you say my...

In which stage are we ? PLEASE HELP!

17 months is harsh, but that's the 'average time'. If your application is quite straightforward it could be much quicker. Our VO is London, and on the website it says 11 months. However, people are reporting decision made in less than 3 months in some cases. My file only got transferred there...

    MAY 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Hi I'm late joining....but we finally got the email yesterday to say they have approved my boyfriend as a sponsor. I hoping London will be superfast processing my application...I don't want to wait any longer! Are any other May applicants still waiting for SA? We were delayed because the CRA...

Outland PR and staying in Canada

Our application is in progress, but I am planning on heading to Canada at New Year on a visitors visa (for 6 months) regardless. My boyfriend, who is sponsoring me, will be travelling back with me and we were hoping to take advantage of his luggage allowance and take as much of my stuff with us...

Medical results? will I hear back?

Hi I am British and we finally found out yesterday that my Canadian boyfriend has been approved to sponsor me, and my file is on its way to London. My question is, when will I hear anything back about the medical I had? Is it that I haven’t heard anything because they haven’t started looking...

Processing Times Updated for Visa Offices for sponsorship of spouses etc...!

Oh, I hadn't checked this since the start of our application...it has gone up by 1 month for London. Because it says 'average time' in months, I'm hoping it will be a lot faster. :D

In which stage are we ? PLEASE HELP!

You're in stage 2....the same as me. They have approved the person who is the sponsor, now they will look at the person needing PR. The status should change at some point to 'in progress', which means Vienna will have started work on your file. As it has been 5 months already, the likelihood...
