    At the Airport

Hello! I've read some conflicting information on the forum about forms needed and procedures at the airport and I'd like to make sure I understand what will happen. From what I understood: 1. Go through the normal immigration line with a Declaration Card...

    CSQ after sponsorship

Hi! My partner has just received his COPR via the federal immigration process. We had to change our plans and we will be living in Quebec for a while. I was wondering if he needs to get a CSQ and if so, if anyone knows how to apply for one after the immigration process has been completed. Also...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

Hey guys!! My partner just received his pre-COPR letter yaaay :D We have to send the copies of his passport and Appendix B, but I was wondering if we have to send photos as well... I think it's only for applicants via the Singapore High Commission, am I right?

    Concern about possible red flag(s)

First of all, good luck :D Prepping everything is soooo time consuming haha 1. I would suggest asking his parents or siblings to write a letter saying that they know of your relationship (when it started, how it evolved), and that they know you're married. If there's a chance you can get them...

I don't think NZ has a national identity document. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_identity_card_policies_by_country Maybe you can use your passport instead?

PR Decision Made... but which one??

Hi guys! I was checking our application and to my surprise the status was changed to DM! But it doesn't say which decision has been made... we didn't get an email about it either. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone knows how long it will take for us to know *what*...

    Will we need a CSQ??

Thank you for all your replies! I called the CIC and they told me pretty much what you guys said. They said that I should email the Visa Office and tell them that even though I am in Quebec, I'm just visiting my parents or something like that. Hopefully that will be enough and he won't need a CSQ :D

    Option C print out

If you and your partner were already common-law partners before moving to Ireland, I would ask for the most recent OpC and send that (because it says "common-law"). If not, then I would give a little bit more detail (e.g. Why are you in Ireland? Why didn't you file your income tax return?) The...

    Will we need a CSQ??

We applied while we were living in Japan and I'm now back in Canada temporarily staying with my parents in QC, then I'm moving to BC with my partner as soon as he gets approved. (which shouldn't take more than a few months, apparently). We didn't use any of the Quebec forms because we don't...

Thank you kiwi01 and kangamoose! I hope you're right, kiwi01... if we get approved in 3-6 months I would be soo happy haha :D Btw, I'm assuming you're a kiwi... My partner is a kiwi, too. Did you send your police check with your application? We didn't because they say not to, but I think we...

Sponsoring - Residing Outside of Canada - Help!

Are you a Canadian citizen with a UK PR? I was a Canadian citizen with Japanese PR and I could sponsor my partner to come over (just got SA!). You just have to prove to them that you plan on coming back to Canada (I gave you some examples on how my partner and I did that on your other question)...

Inland vs Outland (Sponsorship Side of Things!)

I can help with the first part of your question! You don't need to be in Canada to sponsor your partner, but you need to have proof that you intend to move back to Canada. My partner and I sent many letters from friends and family stating that we had plans to move to Canada and we also sent a...

Hi all! My partner and I met in Japan and applied for Sponsorship while we were there (I'm Canadian, he's a kiwi). We have just finished our job contracts in Japan so we will each be returning to our home countries while the process is still going on. My question is, I live in Montreal, i.e...
