Well....we did the flagpole thing at the Lewiston Border crossing near Niagara today. I made a little mistake at first. We drove past the Canada border guard drive through and turned around and drove towards the CBSA gate thinking we would just get pulled in to the office for the PR process to...

Submitted RCMP finger print check. What comes next?

I can only speak for what happened to us but...we sent my wife's RCMP check to Vienna VO and she received Decision Made about a week after VO received the results. But like I said, that is what happened to us. Good luck, hopefully you receive the same results!

My wife received her COPR at her parents address in Germany this morning. No signature needed, just regular mail. I guess it depends on the circumstances whether they send registered or regular mail. We should have it here in Canada some time next week. :)

    VIENNA OFFICE

Thanks soucyyy, my wife is with me in Canada at this time visiting until May. We sent them a letter stating this is where she is...but ECAS shows her German parents address. I hope they click in that they should send her COPR here to Canada, but even if it arrives in Germany her parents can...

Do I need to get Canada Police criminal record certificate for inland process?

According to the guide and the CIC helpline you do not need to do one for Canada. In saying that, it doesn't necessarily mean your VO won't ask for one at a later date. It is not something they ask of everyone, but they did recently ask my wife to do one. Bad luck on our part I guess, so good...

We did actually send them the RCMP check they requested. Well first I sent them a scanned copy, then they said they wanted the original...which I sent last week. According to Canada Post it should have arrived today. I asked them the question by replying to the original email that they sent for...

I changed my mind and asked Vienna to provide an answer for asking for the RCMP check. I'll post their reply...if I receive one.

    Police

She didn't come to Canada until Dec 1st 2014...when we applied she was still in Germany. As you say, it would be a guess at best as to their reasoning. I would email and ask but my wife doesn't want me to stir the pot. Thanks for the heads up though.

Damn...I wonder why my wife had to do this then? Her VO is Vienna...does that matter?

    Police

My wife was requested to do an RCMP criminal record check from Canada, because she lived in Canada for more than 6 months in 2010. CIC did not do this on their own, this is up to the Principal Applicant to do...at least in our case it was. This was just last month that they requested it...she is...
