    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

I assume that you work full time? Your employer may not appreciate you asking for another month of vacation. And in all honesty, you don't have to be there. They'll call you if they need to speak to you. If need be, your wife can explain that you just left a few weeks prior, and that you didn't...

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Don't bother. If all your background checks are done, and your file is going for final review, just wait. You'll get your PPR letter in the next couple of weeks.

Decision made, passport sent for stamping. Is it OK to withdraw visitor extnsion

Don't withdraw the extension application. We had a similar situation with my wife (she left the country before the extension decision), but when I called CIC, the agent said don't withdraw it. The extension application serves as your legal status in Canada after the 6 months expired. If you...

The long wait is FINALLY over!!! We received my wife's PPR letter by email this morning! :D

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Ours wants us to wait until May. So we're waiting...and waiting.

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

You just need to wait for the email, then. If the notes doesn't say they have sent it, then you're still ok. I hate to disappoint you, but I got the exact same call 3 months ago. Ours was slightly different in that we never received the remedical request they supposedly sent in September. But...

CoPR issued with "OLD" photo size- How can I prevent PR card delay? (US Outland)

I thought you needed a PR card to enter Canada by any means, except by private car. It may be different for US citizens, though, I'm not sure.

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Yup, with our local MP. I can't say much in terms of details, though. They've been helpful, and they're keeping an eye on our file. But from what info they've gathered from CIC, they are asking us to wait a little longer. Did you apply for your GCMS notes? I presume that's how you know your...

Same. The due date doesn't mean anything. Our due date was Feb 1, 2016, and we've got nothing.

    Decision Made But No PPR

Being at 'Decision Made' for 112 days with no PPR or other communication from NDVO is not normal, as far as I know. You should contact your MP right away...whatever the decision is, they should be sending you a letter to let you know.

    Decision Made

Count your blessings. At least your status says "Decision Made"...some of us aren't so lucky. :( That being said, if its been 2 weeks, then you should contact your MP.

    Gov will "re-examine" condition 51

Condition 51, and whether its abolished or not, makes no difference in terms of the processing times. They're only doing this so McCallum can smile for the cameras and say that he's made "radical changes" to the immigration system, when in fact, he hasn't done squat.

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

You can expect PPR in about a week, but it could be up to 2 weeks. If you don't get it by 2 weeks, contact your MP. Congrats on getting DM. I wish we could say the same. :(

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Not for us. Maybe for 2017 applicants. We're not getting any relief.

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Your file is following the exact same pattern as ours. The wording was different, but it said something similar. Your re-medicals request has DEFINITELY been issued, or at least, they THINK it was. You need to triple and quadruple check your email. Check both the sponsor and applicants...

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Wish we were so lucky. I think you've read the story about our file before, but we had a 3 month delay because the re-meds email was never sent in September when the notes said it was. Its been two months since the meds were received by CIC, and updated, but still nothing. I really think that...

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Yeah, but still...for all intents and purposes, any file that has been straightforward gets pushed through in less than 17 months, even if you start the clock when Mississauga receives the file. If any 2014 files with no interview requirements and nothing negative coming up in background checks...

    Thank you all SO much!

Congratulations! Oh, how I wish that the office in New Delhi worked that quickly... :(

    NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS

Not just interview letters. I think they have shelved (and forgotten about) 2014 files entirely. Our paper file hasn't been touched since September, when it was moved to the "Registry", which if I understand, just means "storage"? My wife's medical status was updated to "Passed" a day after...
