Hi guys, I'm a citizen and if I submit a sponsorship for my parents, do I need to stay in Canada until they are approved? For example: If I apply today, and then moved to US to work for a few years, will my parents' application get rejected? Thanks!

I have OHIP and am holding an open work permit (PR application under way) My wife is also holding an open work permit, but she doesn't have a job right now. In this case, can I apply OHIP for her? Or is it mandatory she has to find a job? Thanks everyone.
