    June 2020 - Citizenship Application

Oath completed Friday. It felt good. While the wait was long and depressing the process wasn't that bad. Eight years from Landed Immigrant to Permanent Resident to Citizen! It feels good. My daughter said, "Great, now you're Canadian like me!" It means so much to her.

Ahh, I had no idea. I started my application in Abbotsford and it was handled by Vancouver. But a coworker also going through the process lives in Langley and hers is handled in Surrey (or at least according to her emails). I wonder if there is a diversion plan where if there is a certain number...

    June 2020 - Citizenship Application

There might be a discrepency of information that was provided by CBSA. That did happen to me on one of my trips out of Canada. When reentering the agent took my passport and could not scan it because "The computer was not loaded up." Knowing this could have been an issue in the future (this was...

    June 2020 - Citizenship Application

Mine did the same last week. I'm looking at the tracker and dividinng the months up processing office (in my case, Vancouver). June 2020 - Citizenship Application

When you and your spouse take the test, make sure you do it separately with neither looking over each other's shoulders. Your webcam comes on and monitor your surroundings as your take the test. I saw my image in the bottom right corner of the screen.

    June 2020 - Citizenship Application

I had a coworker inquire with an MP she worked alongside and about a week after we all talked, my status went to Decision Made. If you know someone that knows an MP in your area, see if they can help you get in touch with them and they might be able to help. That kind of wait is unacceptable no...

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

I was looking at the Excel document for 2020 applicants and I see some people are being required to submit their passport scans. Is this just the picture of the bio pages with picture or is it all of the pages? I submitted both bio pages of my passport (as I have one expired one from 2018). I...

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

It was the election. To secure more votes the party in power will do what they can to secure more votes on the citizenship side. But after the election, the momentum stops since they got what they want. :) He he he
