Congrats! I wouldn't worry too much for your address. Ours never changed on ECAS, but the change had been made in the file (I called CIC twice to check when we went IP). We received everything at the right place :)

Hey guys, just had a look at the spreadsheet and I noticed we don't seem to keep track of how long PR cards are taking to arrive after landing. CIC says up to 87 days, but I'm sure I've seen people on this forum get it much faster than that. Can people who have landed recently comment on how...

Hey guys, Just a little update to let you know my husband landed on July 15th in Montreal airport. Everything was pretty straightforward. After the first immigration officer, we were sent to the processing room. We gave all our supporting documents, waited for about 20-25 minutes and then were...

I've had to be in the UK as a visitor for a few months before my British spouse visa was approved and can relate. Of course, not working and not feeling financially independent suck. But, remember (if it's a matter of not being bored out of your mind) that you're allowed to volunteer (as long as...

Hello all! Just a small update to let you know that we've received COPR in the post this morning! :D I think my flatmate thought I was a bit overexcited when the postman came ;) It took 9 months almost to the day to complete the process, which is a lot less than some, but I'm very glad it's...

Hello all! Small update for us: ECAS has changed to DM. They started processing our application on April 23 (which is the date we received the passport request). We sent the info to London VO (as per instructions since we currently live in UK) by 1st class delivery Friday morning, so...

If your SOLE priority is to work as soon as possible in Canada, it could be worth applying Inland. But remember that there is no guarantee that your will receive your work permit within 4-5 months... If you do decide to apply OUTLAND, then I'd strongly suggest you stick with it, even if it gets...

That is great news :) We're sending everything off tomorrow. Will let you know when we received the COPR. We have flights for Montreal booked for July 14th, so hopefully we'll be able to land then.

So, about three weeks after submitting the additional documents requested, we received another email from Ottawa tonight, saying they are ready to issue my husband's visa!! This time, they're asking for two recent photographs, the "Updated Information Chart" (sent as an Appendix to the email)...

My husband had his medical done there an they had no problem whatsoever doing it upfront... Are you positive you have the right number? They seem to have two different websites depending on the kind of medical. We used the info on this page: http://www.visamedicals.info/

Hi everyone! As our process should (hopefully) be coming to an end soon, we are starting to plan for our landing mid-July. I have been reading through all the documentation on CIC, British Expats and here, but I still have a little question about our Goods to Follow. Our plan is to land with...

Yes, we received an "additional documents" request about 10 days ago asking for the CSQ, confirmation of our postal address and additional proof of my intent to return to Canada. Hopefully, shouldn't be too long now!

We received ours within about 9 days once the card got charged.

Yay! We have movement in Ottawa. We received an email today from the VO requesting my husband's CSQ (which is odd, since the Québec immigration ministry should have forwarded it automatically); more evidence of my intention to return to Canada (as I, the sponsor, am currently living in the UK)...

Oh, we didn't receive that additional letter in the first place actually... So what they are saying (I think) is that you shouldn't have RECEIVED that letter, not that you shouldn't have applied for the CSQ. If you reside in Québec, you absolutely need one, without exception. You just don't need...

Humm.. a bit strange. I wouldn't worry about it though. We sent our CSQ application before receiving any correspondence from MIDI, an it didn't change anything.

We just used the Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed. Just be careful and choose the right address as one is a post box (which doesn't accept courrier deliveries) and the other one is specifically for signed deliveries.

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Application was received on 30/06/2014, SA on 22/08/2014. Still a relatively long process compared to, say, Mississauga VO, but it's movement!

Actually, nishra got DM from Ottawa about two weeks ago and a few people have had requests for additional documents in Feb. Nothing major, I agree, but at least it's not at a standstill...

Has anyone heard from Victoriabound (perhaps on BE) in recent months? I'd love to know if their application has had any process, as it's been in Ottawa for nearly 9 months without requests for additional forms since July (according to the spreadsheet)...
