Manila Tread for English Speakers - join here!

Ours was in the letter too. They had only issued the TRV about 10 days before. I think I would have your wife go ahead or stay longer. I thought the 16 days was long really and I imagine you could include a note with your travel plans and they might expedite. I think it is Chris on this...

Did they give you the option to send to Ottawa? My partner travelled to Canada on TRV 4 days after PPR. Now we had planned she would be there more than 90 days anyway. We couriered the passport to Ottawa the morning after she arrived and had it back by courier 16 days later.

Option C Printout - How to get yours ...

I just answered this question for somebody else, but maybe I can be more specific: Here is the link for the CRA "My Account" page: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/esrvc-srvce/tx/ndvdls/myccnt/menu-eng.html If you don't have an account, you may still be able to set one up as long as you can answer...

Notice of Assessment or Option C

If you search (i.e. google) what an Option C is, you will find it is just a detailed notice of assessment. You can log into your on-line My Account and get all of your tax information and just print the detailed equivalent to the Option C. If you have your "My Account" set up you can get this...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Unfortunately, your medical was pretty much out-of-date when you submitted your application. I imagine the 7 days was chosen so as not to delay your application processing further. You can likely submit after that, but it may contribute to more waiting. I see 5 panel physicians in Poland...

Thanks Chris. I think this is the Philippine-Based form. Maybe there is only one. I've looked through the web sites for CFO and the Phiilippine embassy in Toronto. I think I did read somewhere (a google search) that there might be an exemption from the GCS if you are already out-of-country...

    Conjugal Partner (M-F, opposite sex)

22-May-2015 visa and copr received. As far as I can tell, our application and the entire process was handled like any other. As far as timelines we are ahead of many August 2014 applicants. Thanks again you guys, even to those that told me we had zero chance of success and should withdraw the...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Visa and CoPR received today, 22 July 2015 - about 9 months total waiting and perhaps 3 months preparation before that. We are in Toronto, my partner on visitor visa, so we sent her passport to Ottawa for the finale. The tracking message we received yesterday was from CEM though. Glad to see...

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I'll add you kkkJo. Maybe it was a bad decision for us to send passport to Ottawa, but better to spend the summer in Ontario than the hottest months in Phils. From what I have been reading it seems the police checks slow down the US processing. There's also an Ottawa thread and spreadsheet...

    Separation/Divorce - Philippines

The other issue in Canada (or at least in Ontario) is that in order to file for divorce, you must be legally separated for at least one year.

    AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

I have been trying to rebuild the August spreadsheet using a template borrowed from another month. I populated using the data in one copy someone on this thread made. It seems like several of the August applicants are nearing the end of this process. Good luck to all. Here is the tiny.url...

I MET MY CONJUGAL PARTNER ONLINE

When we finally got the TRV my partner had stopped working. By that time, we had filed the PR application and we could see the files would be linked by the common UCI number. In my letter I stated that our intentions were clear by our application, that we expected a long (17 month) wait, and...

I MET MY CONJUGAL PARTNER ONLINE

If you can afford to visit Philippines or spend time together elsewhere in Asia, and are not afraid of the TRV rejections, then I believe that you are demonstrating that you are doing everything you can to be together. In our case, after 2 TRV rejections we started actively collecting and...

I MET MY CONJUGAL PARTNER ONLINE

You can apply for the US Visa at same time. It is a little more complicated and costly but much of the information is the same. We did apply and were rejected. The thing with the US is that you have to go to an interview in Manila. We maybe spent $500 on the application with flights, hotel and...
