Hi all, we received our sponsorship approval today via email. Initially filed on Sept and were asked for updated files in Oct, files reached CIC on Oct 17.

All the very best. Hope they speed up the process for Oct. apps.

Could be human error.

They did not return our application, they asked for couple of updated forms. The details of the form remain the same, however they had changed the version numbers of the forms online.

We are in the same boat. I had resubmitted the requested the forms on Oct 17. Called CIC to check, the agent said that they need a minimum of 30 days before they can provide any updates.

From my personal experience, this might delay the process by a few more days ~ 30-45 days. I would advice you and your partner to keep the updated documents ready along with the signatures etc. We received an email from CIC asking us to send the updated forms within 45 days of notice. You may...

Looking at the number of applications pending with them, to avoid emotional turmoil CIC should scale up. And not scale down.
