References for Passport RE: Their role?

I requested urgent processing and my guarantor or reference persons were not contacted. They might be doing it on random basis or when they would like to know more about the person out of any concern they might have about the identity of the applicant.

    Mistake found on COPR

You should be ok. In my case, my Last Name was put as first name and first name was put as last name. I had it corrected by applying for correction in the COPR. They basically do not issue a new COPR/landing document as this is your historical document and cannot be issued. Rather, they will put...

How long does it take for scarborough file processing ? An Issue also

Requesting ATIP is not a problem at all. In fact, in my case, I ordered my 3rd ATIP when I became fed of waiting for more than 3 months after the online status changed to Decision Made. And what happened? The status was updated to oath ceremony scheduled the very same day :) It can be...

How long does it take for scarborough file processing ? An Issue also

Totally agreed with Janoo. Took Scarborough exactly 45 months just to arrange Oath ceremony after the positive decision was made. The case was filed in September 2013. It took a loooooong time for them to process the file. Those applying in recent times are very lucky that they are being...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

I became Canadian citizen today at the Scarborough office. This is the end of a long journey which includes four and half months wait after the decision was made in July 2015. In the end, all is well that ends well. RQ correspondence getting lost in the mail resulting in loss of 8 months, then...

Thanks for the suggestion Janoo. I spoke to the call centre agent who advised not to worry if Oath letter does not arrive. She said you can still proceed to the ceremony. She confirmed the date, time and venue. I am hopeful it will go smoothly.

Scarborough office / timeline after test

Thanks for the wishes everyone! Ecas says Oath letter dispatched on 18th November. Oath is on 2nd December after 7 days. I have still not received the Oath letter after passage of 7 days (there was a weekend in between so technically 5 days). Do I have any reason to panic and assume the letter...

    Ecase change to DM

Depends on your office and their load of work as well as some mysterious reason that they prioritize files. It took them 4 months to schedule my oath while some of the applicants in this forum with timeline identical as mine were scheduled within 4 to 6 weeks..

How long until seen by Citizenship Judge?

I for one made the mistake of applying with two few a days thinking I will be able to convince the citizenship judge. I realized later that it would such a waste of effort and time due to very slim chances of being approved by the CJ and even in case of an approval the chance of being challenged...

It has been over 3 months that my status changed to Decision Made. My file is being processed at Scarborough. It was a non-routine application submitted in November 2013 with RQ issued before test. Test was in October 2014 soon after submission of the RQ supporting documents. ATIP last month...
