I actually got a hold of someone in the office. They told me the reason behind the FP request was due to the name being similar/common and them wanting to have a discernable difference between you/the applicant and whomever you share a name with that may have been in some kind of legal trouble.

Has anyone gotten a fingerprint request lately? I just got one citing section 21 and/or 22 of the Citizenship Act as the reason. It's really weird because the government has my prints already because of my job and I wouldn't be eligible for my job if I did fall into either of those sections. Any...

Did they cite any reason for needing the fingerprints? I'm baffled at my request since my job requires me to give fingerprints to Transport Canada and they cite Section 21 and/or 22 for the reason...

Funny, I got the "medical result received" probably 2 weeks ago and only now am I "in process".

I'm in the same boat from a visa exempt country. My status just changed to "In process". From you experience, how long can I expect to wait until "decision made" and CoPR in hand?
