you should be okay as long as you tell them that you are here for your landing as canadian PR. they will give you refusal letter that will prove that you left canada, but it will have no impact on your future US visits or visa applications.

Dont worry. They wont ask for medical again if you are in canada. I did my medical exam in Jan 2015, but when I got my passport with visa, it had expiry date till Oct 2016. That means they have increased medical validity for 10 months.

Hi Karthi44, First of all congrats for receiving COPR. To answer your question, No you do not have to apply for PR card. It is part of the Landing process. They will ask you for your address in canada and instruct you to wait for 6-8 weeks to receive your PR card.

Agree with you. I also got started processing with 2014 year. I just called CIC call centre as it has been more than 13 months from the day I received AOR. He said that they cannot do anything as Background check is still under process and they have no access over that. Disappointed and annoyed...

As per my knowledge, applications for all applicants who are present in canada are processed in Ottawa visa office. Sydney, NS is just an intake office where all applications go at first and then from there applications are sent to the visa office of the country where you currently are.

The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply. So if your country certificate satisfies this statement then you don't need to send it again. But personally I will resent new updated one to be on safe side and to prevent unnecessary delays.
