I asked for an update from Ottawa and got this: "We have requested a medical certificate extension, which will extend the validity until May 2014, if granted." Hopefully the request get granted. Otherwise I'll have to waste $300 and re-do the medical. :(

Same thing happened to me too. A whole year after medical, my MP still told me that one of my background checks expired and they are working on getting it again. Obviously Ottawa didn't review my file in time so that those background checks expired before they ever looked at it. Hopefully this...
