For the benefit of all let me confirm that Bank statement in INR is acceptable proof of funds on landing this has been confirmed by me with CIC

Bank draft would require one to buy CAD and then encash it at a certain rate however banks selling and buying rate is different and difference could be as high as 5-6%. I spoke with CIC on this and they were not sure on this but said bank statement in INR should be fine.

we can use this money in Canada by withdrawing from any ATM or using the debit card at any POS

logically it should but i see a lot of ppl on this forum stating foreign bank statement in INR is not acceptable. Even for verification purposes they can check the balance there on any ATM machine or online. I'm very confused as to what I should be doing with Pof requirement and im flying next week
