I didn't realize that the total quota is 65k including spouses and dependants. In that case, it'll fill up in no time. Since there is no cap on individual NOCs, it's a true demand-and-supply market. Very good for the Canadian economy, not so much for aspiring migrants. I that case, I suppose...

I think they have to. I honestly doubt they can fill all 100k-whatever quota with job offers and nominations. Even Australia does the same i.e. nomination or job offer gets your app picked up faster but a lot of applications are picked up on best scores even without a job offer or nomination.

My score is 473. I don't want to apply for a Job. Can one get in through EE without job offer or provincial nomination? I am in NOC 2133.

    I think I found the answer to the IELTS question: http://www.ieltsessentials.com/clb/index.html CBL 9 Scores: L:8, R:7 W:7 S: 7 CLB 10 Scores: L:8.5, R:8 W:7.5 S: 7.5 So that implies that I have 3 CLB 10's and 1 CLB 9. Awesome :)

http://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html A bit confused about the 3rd field: "In addition to the certificate selected above, have you completed a 2nd post-secondary diploma/certificate?" Should this still be yes if I answered "Masters" in the 2nd field? Also...

NOC 2133 - Too late to apply? I have my WES and IELTS ready, need to get some documentation for the actual application. I was wondering if it is too late to apply for NOC 2133? Also, does anyone know if the Express Entry system would approve PR without a Job Offer? (Don't want to move...

Any IC designer apply to 2133?

Unfortunately, I didn't find much information in this regard. I am going to apply for 2133 and see if they'll accept. As others have suggested I think it comes to down to the number of matching "duties and responsibilities" for 2133.

Don't know the exact numbers but friends tell me that Childcare allowance is not that great in Australia. I think some of the allowances are even means-tested but don't quote me on that.

    AUSTRALIA VS CANADA IMMIGRATION

Your colleague is right. Australia is expensive, period. But that's the price you pay for lifestyle, in my opinion. One good thing about Australian PR is that it doesn't really expire. Sure the re-entry permit expires after 5 years like in Canada but at present you can apply for a resident...

    AUSTRALIA VS CANADA IMMIGRATION

    1) Regarding cost of living. $3000/month won't get your far in Australia. Rent for a 3BR house/villa is close $2000 a bit outside of inner-city. And $1000 barely covers food, insurance, entertainment etc. But then again $100k pay packages are the norm for people with good skills. Spouse can also...

    AUSTRALIA VS CANADA IMMIGRATION

I don't know much about Canada but I can certainly speak for Australia. 1) Most capital cities in Australia are pretty expensive. Median prices in capital cities is like $500k+. With a lot of nice inner city suburbs getting closer to $1M+. That's not to say you won't find a decent house a bit...

Re: Couple more questions Hi guys, I've couple more questions: 1) For WES, do I have to send year-by-year transcripts? Can I just submit the final mark sheet with all the subjects for all the years? 2) A friend of mine has lots of gaps in his career after graduation. Freelance work, no work...

Any IC designer apply to 2133?

Indeed. My experience is a mix of IC design and electronics design. I am pretty confused because 2147 is a closer match than 2133 but 2147 isn't in the list. It's funny that "digital circuit designer engineer" and "engineer, electronics" are listed in 2133 and not 2147. Then again "electronics...
