I've got a letter from my uni stating that i'm enrolled there for the coming semester. Would that be enough?

Update: I might have placed the wrong date on my application form, so my chances of getting a new permit don't look great. If I have to get back in with just a photocopy, what would I tell the people at the border? FYI, I'm coming in by plane.

I found myself in a bit of a situation. I left Canada on the 30th of June, got home to Thailand on the 1st of July. Along the way, I managed to lose my study permit, probably fell out of my passport when I was in transit in Hong Kong or something. I managed to submit an application for a new one...
