Not following through on a medical request after an application is approved

This is a followup to my other post from the weekend, but a slightly different question. To summarize the other situation, my mother in law has a multiple entry visa (not a super visa) and has been her since mid August 2017. Six months expires mid February 2018 and we wanted to extend her for...

Visitor Visa extension; Approval received day after request for medical? Please help clarify!

Thanks for the reply. This is what I figured, but I'm still confused why they would issue the approval with conditions since they already gave her implied status until Feb 18. Approval with conditions to me is no different then implied status. And you noted that her extension would be cancelled...

Visitor Visa extension; Approval received day after request for medical? Please help clarify!

My mother in law received a multiple entry visitor visa (not a super visa) in August 2017 (expires in about 5 years on the same date her passport expires) and she flew to stay with us and at the time we figured it would be the full 6 months allowed per visit. A few weeks ago we decided to apply...

Thanks for all of your replies, especially the detailed ones. This is was my suspicion as well. At the end of the day it is not worth the risk.

Visiting visa - what is considered working?

My mother in law arrived in Canada recently on a multiple entry visitor visa with the plan to stay for the maximum six months or close to it. The purpose of the trip is to visit us and decide if she wants us to sponsor her one day under the pgp program. She is somewhat bored some days as my...

    Edmonton Office - July 2015

My wife wrote her exam in Edmonton on June 5 and received her oath letter on August 11, with an oath date of August 26. She had a pretty standard application with no out of country travel during the period. They told her 2-4 months for the oath on her test day which I have heard other people say...

Accuracy of CIC Citizenship Ceremony website?

My wife received notification of her upcoming Oath date via ECAS last week. It stated that a letter was sent and also stated the date and said the oath would be at 4pm. Her letter arrived the same day and also stated 4pm. However, on the CIC website listing the citizenship ceremonies in...

    Citizenship test results, Edmonton Office

A lot of us are getting close! I think there seems to be a difference with some people receiving their oaths after their tests a lot sooner then others. My wife wrote her test on June 5, 2015 and had 19/20. Her interview went well and she was given the standard 2-4 months wait time for an oath...

We really have no intention of renouncing her Filipino citizenship if there isn't a good reason to do so. Thanks for the answers!

    Dual Citizenship with the Philippines

My wife is currently awaiting her oath date after passing her exam. One of the things we are now discussing is whether or not to maintain dual citizenship. Both countries allow dual citizenship. The main reasons we would want to keep her Filipino citizenship is because: - It allows me to travel...

    Citizenship test results, Edmonton Office

My wife wrote her test on June 5 and got 19/20. Interview went well and she was also told 2 to 4 months for an oath. I too was hoping it wouldn't take that long, but it has currently been 6 weeks so they were probably accurate in that guess. ECAS, which hasn't had any details updated since...

We mailed her application on July 3, 2014 and had no significant issues other then a confirmation of name which just had to be returned with a quick letter. For those worrying...

No longer "in process" in Ecas

Never mind, I was panicked for nothing. As I was writing the above message, it occurred to me that maybe with the name change confirmation they changed the ECAS name from her maiden name to her married name as this is what we selected. And using that I was able to access! Still in progress :)...
