As an immigrant, how are you liking Canada? Do you regret moving there? Is life hard? Is the economy difficult? Other

Based on my own experience in moving to Canada and the abysmal experience in dealing with the various Canadian authorities prior and after moving here - I'd have to say that the decision to emigrate to Canada was the worst decision and the biggest mistake I ever made. The numerous authorities...

Can new immigrants use UPS mailbox for PR card address?

This is where I found the location information for Immigrant services - I'm sure you could check directly with them if your PR card can be sent to them. I cannot now find where I read this information so please check that it is correct. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/map/services.asp...

Visa and PR card travel entitlement

Well, I'm glad that was simple enough to resolve! I have no intention of lying or misleading anyone - and would advise anyone else in this position to do nothing other than tell the truth about their intentions. As pointed out in this argument - if you have no intention of moving to Canada then...

Can new immigrants use UPS mailbox for PR card address?

You will have to check and get other advice on this but I'm sure I've read something along the lines of; you have to give a residential address for PR card and driving license etc - PO box addresses will not be considered as residential addresses. Medical and Right of Landing fees

Thanks for the replies; CIC have sent the appropriate information for the medical - and I've since found out that Right of Landing fees is a term no longer used (which begs the question, why use that term in an email to applicants!) as it's not the "Right of Permanent residence Fee" My medical...

Why are these Visa applications taking so long to process?

Yes it was under Federal, not Quebec. I've scoured the net for info and find it hard to get any solid info' on what's actually going on. I would have thought that considering how many peoples lives are in limbo at the moment, information from the relevant departments would be a little more...

Hi sckel - the Visa I've applied for is Business class, self employed which I believe is part of the Investor/entrepreneur series of visa's, I may be wrong on that though. I'd be interested to know if anyone knows the reasons why the Entrepreneur class visa are taking so long to process for UK applicants. I made my initial application in February 2010, the payment receipt and acknowledgement letter I received in March 2010 stated that the approx processing time...
