I tried correct my name using question 3C like you, but I got a request from CIC to provide a copy of a provincial ID to confirm the name change. I sent a letter to CIC to withdraw the name change request. Hopefully this help. I am still waiting for the test.

Stupid me, I requested a truncated name on the citizen form (question 3B); because my surname has two parts, and is too long. Now CIC is giving me two options ; 1- I change first the name on Hearth card or Driving licence, 2- I keep the long name. My file is still is Sydney.

If CIC keep the same processing speed, you should access ECAS at the end of June. When an application is returned, it goes back at the end of the queue. :o
