    July 2020 - Citizenship application

Hi all, had my ceremony this morning. It was lovely. Wish you all the best! Thank you for all the help and camaraderie. Good luck on your journeys!

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

Wow so we got my notice to appear for my citizenship on April 7th! With the actual zoom info, seat number, and instructions this time. I say "we" because they sent it to my partner's email (????). But I'll take it!

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

Yes, my heart goes out to them! They are often in the news, including people who passed their tests in 2019/20 and are still waiting. Obviously extreme examples. Apologies, did not mean to imply I was talking about rescheduling - especially not with the intention to compare my situation to...

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

I have also ordered my GCMS notes. I tried to be reasonable up until this point, but failing to provide me with my ceremony invite for the date given, while giving them ample opportunity in advance to rectify the situation, means I am gearing up to become super annoying about this. I am...

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

I am not sure what you're referring to; I applied for spousal PR in 2014 and was approved 8 months later.

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

I am holding out a modest hope they are simply waiting to reach out because they are in the process of rescheduling my "group" and want to email us with the new date at the same time. Which may be the most efficient use of their time, albeit a bit rude. I have seen posts on these forums where...

Scheduled for Citizenship oath did not received email then missed it and no missed ceremony email.

Thank you, yes, they have been emailed. And I emailed my original test one as well lol - DNVANBCISTESTS@cic.gc.ca , well in advance. C'est la vie! FYI, Vancouver is WST-CitizenshipClient-Notification@cic.gc.ca (friend took her oath a few weeks ago, and their signature/auto-response confirms...

Scheduled for Citizenship oath did not received email then missed it and no missed ceremony email.

Wow, and you were supposed to take your oath in January? I'm so frustrated for you! Did you email your visa office? They certainly don't make it easy.

Scheduled for Citizenship oath did not received email then missed it and no missed ceremony email.

Hey there, I'm in a similar situation, and I'm wondering if you are still waiting, or if not, how long it took for you to be rescheduled? Cheers.

Waiting for Oath Invitation - VANCOUVER OFFICE Timelines

I would. Most people at Vancouver VO take about 3-6 months from test to DM. And then there's the whole issue of the ceremony itself, if you're lucky enough to actually get the invite ;) Lol. IMO, I highly suggest renewing your PR.

Waiting for Oath Invitation - VANCOUVER OFFICE Timelines

Cool, cool. My oath ceremony (Today, march 23rd) came and went with still no notice, email, or letter. Despite emailing them and calling CIC (agent sent an urgent email on my behalf) last week, and Monday. Lol. To be fair, I never expect it to be simple or straightforward when it comes to CIC...

    After citizenship test

My "waiting on you" took a long time, like over a month at least. Then 6 mos after I took the test I got my oath ceremony date (vancouver VO). Imo, try not to stress about it!

    July 2020 - Citizenship application

Hey, thanks for checking in. I got in touch with a CIC call centre agent Monday morning, who sent an urgent email on my behalf. Ironically, my webform was rejected with copy-paste links to the website for common questions, today, so my heart skipped a beat when I saw an email from CIC at 3pm...

Thanks! I'm pretty doubtful at this point but I guess we'll see. It's definitely frustrating!

    Oath ceremony March 2022

It can take anywhere from 3-8 months after passing exam for most people, depending on the visa office, to be notified of your oath ceremony. Check the thread with the Month and Year you applied to connect with people in the same situation as yourself.

Last minute! Shortest interval seen between Ceremony Oath Email/Notice and Actual Ceremony? 6 hrs? 24 hrs?

Last week I used the email I had from my test. I also sent a webform. I may bug my friend tomorrow for the Vancouver Ceremony IRCC email if I still haven't heard anything, or if I see a notice that the information was actually sent in ECAS, which it has not.

Last minute! Shortest interval seen between Ceremony Oath Email/Notice and Actual Ceremony? 6 hrs? 24 hrs?

Thanks, I'll keep trying. I get the busy message. I did see another poster say an IRCC call centre person told them they could receive the email up to an hour before the ceremony ( L O L ) and to keep waiting. Has this actually happened for anyone, where they got the invite an hour before? It...

Last minute! Shortest interval seen between Ceremony Oath Email/Notice and Actual Ceremony? 6 hrs? 24 hrs?

Heya! My ceremony is on Wednesday, still haven't heard anything. I did see on another thread that a person never received email/invite/oath notice; their VO later contacted them to reschedule, so that's good. I'm not too worried about missing it. However, I'm wondering if any of you had a...

I am so sorry about your application. Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope you are able to reapply soon, I can't imagine how frustrating this is for you guys. As for the rest of the thread.... Everyone has the right to be counseled of the risks, and make an informed choice. New...
