My status now is "In Process" and details are: 1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 1, 2014. Actually, I was using a wrong value to login. I was born in saudi Arabia and I tried to login using this, but looks like they care about my nationality and not where I was born.

Still no status. Your friend might have a previous file or history and thats why he has a status. I will wait for one week and then contact CIC. I might be using a wrong value.

Yes, I got UCI and application number but still no status on ECAS.

I think I was the 1st to report this here and many members were surprised ;-). I am May 1st applicant . I wanted to report good news to other members to keep them positive :-)

I checked in this website: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app= but it gives me "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided." May be it needs sometime to get updated. I will try later next week.
