I was just curious if anyone's middle name is cut off on their COPR/PR card. My son's middle name is eight letters long and only seven letters appear. It is frustrating as now everything else (OHIP, SIN etc) also shows his name cut off.

WTF! My son's PR card arrived on Tues and mine did not. So I called CIC to check and see if it was lost in the mail and if I'd have to pay for it to be re-issued. She told me that it was pulled for further review, but refused to tell me what that even means or what possible reason there might...

Thanks! I think I remember hearing 4-6 weeks. At first when I landed I could not care less about getting the actual card. Now I am anxious to have it.

Detroit transfer is GOOD! LoL I got PPR two weeks after my transfer. This is not uncommon.

It's a beautiful thing no? I stared at mine a lot for the few days before I landed. It was a bit of a shock when the IO drew a big ugly line through it lol It was so shiny and meant so much. Now until I get my PR card all I have is a cruddy looking carbon copy of COPR. It's beautiful too lol

I'm landing in Windsor ON...but I've already been living here since Aug of 2007 after we got married. I used to live in MI outside Ann Arbor.

Got our passports and COPRs in the mail today. My packet arrived on Sept 28, the visas were issued on the 29th and it took almost two weeks for the mail to get it back to me lol Tomorrow my son and I head to the border to LAND!!!! :P :P :P

Ok so we got our COPRs and passports with Visas in the mail today...question. Do we need to bring any additional photos with us to land? I don't see that anywhere on the papers we have. But I seem to recall people talking about bringing photos to land. Are those only folks who went in person...
