Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, cic only extended my study permit till my passport expired, which is in more than a month. I need a trv to go back to my country so I can renew my passport and attend to family.

Not exactly. From June 1st Students would not need OCWP (Off Campus Work Permits) to work off campus any more. Instead they can use their study permits. If you check processing times on cic.gc.ca you will see that they are not accepting Off Campus Work Permit paper applications anymore Cheers
