    My file was closed on the 23rd. Received my certificate today Dec 28th. It was postmarked Dec 22nd so I guess file closed means they have mailed the certificate. Hopefully you’ll receive yours before the end of the week.

    I got mine in Calgary a few minutes after I landed. Just go to service Canada and bring the COPR and you should be able to get your new SIN.

    That's surprising I thought since that letter basically supersedes AIP it would be accepted. I know one person who did in fact receive OHIP with that exact letter but it wasn't without some effort.

    Actually that letter is AIP and DM all rolled into one. A lot of us have received that same letter. At least all you have to wait for now is your landing letter.
