Thanks. We've found one applicant and they did the test in May and oath in September. She is going to apply for the November date.

@ muusehisman I know. It's so totally unfair. Imagine how the 55% of 2015 applicants feel that haven't finished the process yet either. CIC just see numbers, not the actual people's lives that they are affecting. But what can you do.....

Got the best email today. Landing interview is scheduled for Nov 2 at VICTORIA. Don't even have to go to the mainland. Happy as a pig in mud! ;D

PDF just has basic info that it has been approved - Permit Type, Validity Date & Document Number and nothing more. Original has the specific details of work restrictions etc.

I checked with Transport Dept in Australia and they said it is the norm for Canada. Ontario is only province that lets you keep both licences. Maybe they're worried that you can lose one licence and continue to drive on other licence. Not sure how you lose a licence in Canada though when speed...

Yep. Had BC licence when held IEC but already held Aussie DL. Be warned though - they destroy DL of other country. Wasn't a happy chappy with that but gotta do what you gotta do.
