When we travel to India with OCI & Canadian passport for the first time, do we need to carry Cancelled Indian Passport and/or Surrender Certificate too? Is there any other doc that we need to carry apart from OCI & Canadian Passport? I assume we don't need to carry Canadian Citizen Certificate...

I think you misunderstood. We are not talking about the entire application process. We are talking about time between OCI status 'Processed' and the actual delivery of OCI.

Really? 2 to 3 weeks from Processed to Delivery of OCI ?

Yes. We are in Toronto. Actually my friend applied for his kids only. And I have applied for myself, wife and kid.

My friend's OCI Acknowledgement Date is 30th May. His status changed to 'Processed' today. My Ack date is 31st May. Hopefully, my application will get updated soon too.

Missed connection flight?? Is OCI booklet actually coming from India ? I thought they print it here in Toronto only. Or are you located outside of Toronto?

What was your last status on OCI site? I have been under the impression that once the file reaches Consulate (i.e., OCI status is updated to 'Under-Process') it does not come back, because by then BLS is done verifying the application. Is my understanding incorrect?

Quick Update - My OCI status has changed to 'Under-Process' on 31st May. Of course the BLS Status continues to be "Processing at Consulate" My file has moved faster than I expected. Looks like I have a pretty good chance of getting my OCI before my travel date (1st Aug). Do you guys agree?
