Nothing was asked whatsoever. Flying home from LA , showed my passport to check in and the next words he said were enjoy your flight not a single explanation was needed. Reading online and this has happened to lots of people ...some very few people just say they are a visitor if they are asked...

Ya officer told me the same when I landed but the reason they do that is that they cover all bases i.e people who have visa exempt passports and those who dont. So to cover everyone they say you need a PR card but I have done it and several people i know have done it and absolutely no issue...

sorry this is completely incorrect. If you are from a visa exempt country like the EU you do not need to show PR to enter Canada. Where that may change is later in the year you are required to have an ETA much like a US esta and you cannot apply for that if your PR. So when that is implemented...

Yes I will I have not heard anything yet. Did you get an ETA (The canadian esta thing ) before you got PR ?

I am afraid that I do not know. I asked at the Canada post office and they said for PO Box's within Canada you can get signature at PO box's but I dont know if that applies for oversea's

Just to let you know that Canada post do deliver to PO box and I got its signed and everything. It was delivered yesterday so hopefully it will be quick now

what is going on with your application ? No bowp is totally separate to my detriment. I was approved for my Bowp then 6 days later got my pr but they wont refund my bowp fees

hey ...so you sent to the po box and then dhl then sent it to another address...so it was not returned to for u to send again

im in canada i assume there is no issue sending registered mail to a po box here

I agree the border guard took new photos of me to the new requirements and they still want new ones...a joke

hey anyone who was asked to sent new photos what address did you sent it to ?. I want to sent it registered post but the address on the letter is a PO box so not sure will it work

absolute joke ...i have been asked to submit my pictures again. Even though the border guard at my landing took new pictures as she wanted to make sure they were correct

Hi just want to let you know I am from Ireland and flew back from LA last night with no PR card. Check in desk only wanted my passport asked me nothing about visa's etc, then at immigration at pearson I showed my copr and no issues
