Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

My buddy received the new "additional RQ" back in December on his 37th month, which he immediately completed. Today he received oath letter. How I want to interpret this is: CIC would take your (third, including original) final statement, supported by other docs, to decisionize without the need...

Is it better to apply for Citizenship application individually or with family?

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Two of my friends, both rq'ed back in the summer of 2012 got their oath invitations for this week. From application to oath: 37 and 38 months. There seems to be an effort to clear up files before getting past 36 months. But not enough effort for a faster processing, unfortunately. I am on my...

re: "Some people mentioned ordering ATIP can help move your case forward by showing they you are concerned and watching" : I know at least a case where it helped a friend who got rq'ed in 2012 then somehow wasn't invited to test like most of us were in Jan-Feb 2014. He requested ATIP in May...

Withdrawing an application is a strong trigger for RQ on a subsequent application. But you will get citizenship 100%, at the end of a (max) 36 months from now if you reapply. As opposed to 50-60% (who knows, just guessing) in another 12 months from now if you stay. Tough call, indeed. I'd wait...

I have a co-worker friend with exact same timelines, from St.Clair Office. Applied in fall 2012, RQ last summer, wrote exam same day Feb 12 ( that's how we found out !). He received his oath letter for June 12 at Scarborough yesterday. Now that's hopeful for us :)

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

It seems that the recent oath letters ( with exam in March) are mostly from Mississauga office. Those of us at St.Clair are not treated with the same speed, I guess the file / judge ratio for RQ'ed applicants is higher. But things will move eventually, CIC should be aware of that.

With all due respect to fellow RQ'ers agony, I have difficulty connecting with "cannot travel" complaints. Unless one neglects to properly apply for PR renewal, we are free to travel. You need to let cic know ( I believe 2 weeks in advance) about travel arrangements, so they won't book...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

I believe ATIP will help dormant cases speed up, especially towards the end of the infamous 36 months term. Othervise for regular (albeit slowly moving) files, it may not.
