Greetings fellow immigrants, i would like to share some good news. I've received a notification from visa center that my passport has arrived, i went there today and i've collected both my passport with the infamous maple leaf as well as the COPR. It has been one long and very hard journey but...

after my tracking status changed to processed passport dispatched, i called them they checked and told me it will arrive after 2 working days.

I never sent PCCs with my initial application. I didn't get new ones, i sent the old ones and i will tell you why it worked. the expiration written on the PCCs by the issuer is not the same as the expiration used by the Canadian Visa Office, they have their own expiration system, for example...

Congratulations man!! :D i've got news myself, i checked my VFS tracking today and it says: Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office ABU DHABI, on 12/12/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. i hope this means i will be able to pick it up this week.

Don't worry about it, the ecas is always 100 years behind the actual thing, i've stopped checking it...it has become a useless tool.

Well, i've received a notification yesterday from the linked application myCIC, saying that there was an update in my PR application, so i logged in, and i've noticed this: Application/profile status Closed <--- (it used to say open) so that means, or i hope it means they issued my COPR...

What about clothes, should we write each clothing article?? or is it only things like books, electric shaving machine, laptop...etc.

ok, don't bother yourself with the linked application, you already finished all this process and your passport is at the embassy. just get yourself mentally and financially ready to wait for a week or even 2 weeks before receiving your passport.

so you provided them with the required documents like RPRF receipt via courier?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp on the second page, you know the page where they display the status of your application like: Application/profile status Open Review of eligibility Review in Progress Review of medical results Passed etc...

it was saying over due the second day after they sent me the passport request, which was weird. Anyway, i think the myCIC account passport upload thing is only for people with nationalities that don't require a visa stamping, they will have to upload passport scans, and the VO will send them...
