So We got the passport back today, except,they made a mistake, and put the wrong passport number on the visa. They also put the marital status of "divorced" for my wife who is the applicant. So we have to senythe passport back tomorrow,again. Also the visa was issued on feb 2nd, but it took...

Congrats muhammad. Happy for you buddy. As far as the visa cancellation! I am the sponsor for my wife and since I live in Dubai with her, and they require proof that the sposor will permanently move to Canada , i had to cancel my uae visa to show I intend to move back. They didn't ask my wife...

Well I don't know about the others but we cancelled our uae visa andsubmitted the passport to advo on jan 22. Stills waiting. No news and ecas stills shows in process. which sucks since we will be overstaying srarting next week. Not sure about overstay regulation in uae either.

Congrats lonlywife. Hope the rest is smooth sailing. We also got ppr and sent the passport to advo last week. I wonder how long it will take to get it back? Anyone know typically how long it takes? We Live in dubai.

So we sent in the passport today. Anybody have an idea how long it will take for advo to stamp and return the passport for dubai residents? And also anyone has any idea what happens if we recieved the passport late and overstay?

Hi impresso No updates on our case. Ecas still says in process. And considering the most recent members who did reciev ppr without ecas update, it means ecas doesn't really mean much. Its just a waiting game now, but considering that my wife who is the applicant is iranian, I won't be surprised...

actually, it seems that the ecas story is pretty irrelevant to the whole case. people getting Visas stamped and their ecas still says In Process. but i guess there isnt much to do except to check the dam thing every 3 minutes. (well, at least in my case) ??? although it seems like ADVO wants...

Hi. It was changed on the 15th. And yes they had asked for additional docs on sept 21. We sent in the docs on October 8th.
