    Do you need a Canadian passport for this flight specifically? Just use the one from your original country of origin if visa not required / you already have a visa / dual citizenship is allowed...but I guess returning to Canada would be tricky haha.

    They would have sent you an email. Search "IRCC" on your email, use a computer to view your email inbox and don't rely on your smartphone. It most probably is the one in Surrey by King George SkyTrain station *if* you reside in Surrey.

    I know, my mother shouldn't have applied for citizenship at this moment, should have travelled back to Pakistan, settled affairs, come back and then applied for citizenship. That would've been better and less stressful for her.
