7 years of suffering for waiting for my citizenship; can someone help me please

I will add two pieces of info from my personal application and experience. Incompetence: I have physical proof for this one, a letter sent by IRCC to me full of grammatical mistakes. I also received no less than 4 requests to send a copy of my PR card while processing an application. Yes, 4...

In Process mean Citizenship is in local office?

No, in process means... In process. There is not "external" indicator about the transfer from Sydney to the local office unless you request an ATIP.

Oath Timeline after test at Montreal Office

Yes. I noted the name of the agent that interviewed me after the test and addressed the letters to her. Then waited a week and made an ATIP request and read her comments (she obviously didn't reply to me but had to log it in the system), that's how I knew where my file was and what was...

Oath Timeline after test at Montreal Office

Yeeeeeeeeeees. I'm one of those dinosaurs you'll read about in immigration books. It was the old days and much more complicated than now. RQs used to take 2-3 years more. Feel free to browse the forum for lovely horror stories about that! I had to exert maximum pressure and literally harass...

    RQ after citizenship test/interview

The mere addition of RQ communication between the client and IRCC will add at least a couple weeks to the process, without counting the time needed for an officer to analyse the file(if these RQs are put in a seperate queue, the delay is "appreciable"). Mind you, there are several forms been...

    Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Reviving this thread. Good evening everyone! As per the CIC website, the 2018 P&GP Sponsorship Program is now closed for 2018 (Link). They should be publishing results around the April timeframe, I think (based on last year's program). What concerns me is the processing time: They're (today...

Protest of the federal agent of Phoenix system affecting the citizenship test in Montreal

My opinion about the IRCC was never kind. This time however, I think that what has been happening with this payroll system has impacted the lifes of a lot of federal employees. Some of these people have very valid and serious grounds to protest. It's not in their hand but rather a joint...
