I submitted web form on wednesday and got a response on Friday saying they have forwarded my query to New Delhi VO since it is processing my father's application. They didn't mention anything about 28 days response time though. Will have to wait to find out what happens.

Hey, did you hear anything yet? I applied for my father on Jan 31st, Biometrics on 8th Feb and acknowledgement letter on 25th Feb. But no update since. It still shows 15 days processing time, but no update on application yet.

I applied for parents visitor visa in India 2 days back and received a request for Biometrics today. It says that it has to be provided in 30 days. But the letter says that the application is still under processing. The VFS centre is far from our hometown. So i don't want them travel twice...

Go through the spousal PR checklist and you will find details of what is required. Basically anything that helps to prove your marriage was genuine should be submitted. Ours documentation included details of travel, how we met, chat, call and messages history, all the pics, engagement...

What did the MP say? MP's office has a different line to visa offices and CIC usually tell them (MP's office) why an application is passed 1-yr processing mark and why no further update is available (e.g. test invite or additional docs request etc.). Not sure what response did they tell you.

Congrats. I got the DM as well, probably yesterday, but checked today. I believe we were there together at the exam. Mine was at 8.20AM on Tuesday. I also got the Oath invite today for 18th Dec 2018 at Scarborough. So my citizenship journey coming to an end :-). Moderators, please update.

I has my test today too at 8.20 AM today morning and my interviewer told me that as I'm Oct 2017 applicant (app received Oct 23, 2017), I will get oath next month (sometime in Dec). Strange they tell different dates to different ppl.

Congrats on test invite. You should be ok if you don't get oath invite by you travel date. I think if your oath is done, your PR card becomes invalid. (experts please confirm). you will need to get an urgent passport after 2 days of oath if oath happens before your travel date.

I can understand your situation as I'm in the same boat as you. Did you try contacting your MP? I did and got the feedback that my background check is completed and I will get the test invite soon. they will send me an email in 10 business days. Hopefully it works. If it does, I will update as...

Mine 1 yr completed exactly today. Still no test invite. Will call CIC tomm. Will see what they have to say. After that MP.
