You may give them a call. CIC says once your application is filed, you should contact them only after 6 months. But they responded positively in my case when I contacted them in like to 30 days.

I called CIC help line and I was informed that child PR cards sometimes go thru different cycle of production and because of that the pr card will be sent later. This must have happened just in our case. I was told that I would receive my child's PR card soon.

I can't imagine they are asking $3000 for filing EE application. It is too much costly. The online application is very straightforward and simple. In case you hit a road block, this forum will help you. Absolutely NO to lawyer.

There is no way you can pay this fee before CIC requests for. Patience is the key when CIC processes an application. Good luck!

My CIC account will be updated just before(1 day) CIC mails back your passport after stamping. Generally takes 2 weeks if you are from visa required country. ECAS is a mechanism where you can track your application by giving like UCI number or application number. Try it out...
