In my case, I felt that all the lines (2nd, 3rd & 4th) are updated during midnight, may be around 12.30 to 1 am. So if no updates are seen during early morning when you wake up, then mostly during that whole day you won't see anything - even I kept checking before sleeping time like 11-11.30 pm...

I don't think it's only an issue of not attaching the passport in application, they must have tracked you and so they claim that last valid status was today when decision is made on your BOWP. the basic issue is applying everything late - even though you got AOR on Feb 19, you applied BOWP on...

In my opinion, as your WP expired on 5 Apr, you should have applied for BOWP during start of 2015 (sometime before mid January) as you could notice that CIC processing time has always been to more than 1.5 months to process work permit extensions, nowadays it is 2.5 to 3 months processing time...
