Thanks Sathyam. Even I think that CIC would not take more than 3 months but just in case they do .. Would CIC still be able to encash the DD even if this is written on the DD .. "Valid Only for 3 months"

I am in a similar situation as well. Which bank did you get the DD from? However, someone in the group said that even if the DD is valid for 3 months, CIC would be able to encash even after that. I am not 100% sure about that though. Any other person who faced/ is facing this issue?

I was just a little worried earlier because my DD has a 3 month validity but then some of the senior members said that it is not an issue. International DDs are valid for 6 months even though it says 'valid for 3 months.'

It will take at least 2.5 months before your DD is charged provided you have not applied in one of the hot NOCs (1112/ 2174).

I got my FBI PCC done. Timeline is as follows: Documents reached FBI --> May 28th I got the report on --> July 9th

Many thanks Ashif for your help! Would CIC accept this new DD since I have read in earlier posts in this forum that CIC receives so many applications every day that they don't accept follow-on documents.

Hey Ashif I have somewhat similar issue - My app reached CIC on May 28th and even though I have provided them with DD, it's only with a 3 month validity. My NOC is 1112. Would that be an issue? Many thanks in advance for your help.
