Hi Everyone I don't come around often as my husband landed almost 2 years ago. I was reading a bit today and saw this post.....I sort of feel like the crusher of dreams right now, but if you think that they are going to take the time to look up and answer each inquiry they get, you are crazy...

Wow....Maddants - haven't heard much from you in a while. How have you been keeping? Whats the word on your file?

I understand your frustration....I've been there! You are however still under the posted average processing time and therefore, there isn't much you can do short of doing exactly what you said - withdrawing your application - and if you really love your hubby, what benefit would there be to...

It means that it is in the queue with the others to be reviewed - so it hasn't yet been reviewed. To be honest with you, the more that you email them the less time they are spending on the applications in front of yours, so if you want them to speed up - don't email them! I know this process...

I am just basing my answer on the fact that there have been plenty of folks get through that do smoke. My husband doesn't smoke but thought it might be a good idea to try a weed cake 2 days before his meds and had no issues, one of our friends does quite regularly and he just landed a month ago...

When I sent my application to Mississauga the box weighed 13lbs.....I included everything, phone logs, bbm chats, facebook chats, letters from our families, photos, colour photos of the pages in my passport showing all of my trips along with all of the boarding passes, hotel reservations, day...

I live in Ontario & this is why my hubby needed. A letter from the tax office in Kingston stating what type of license he has, how long he has had it and I think the letter said if he had any convictions. In Ontario, if he can prove 4+ year experience in JA, he will be eligible to get his G...

There really is no guarantee how long it will be from the time it goes to in process until they request your passport. Everyone is different, but to give you an idea of my personal experience - they requested RPRF (which we had paid at the time of application) & new police check on March 8 (was...

A friend of mine & Hubby's passport was requested and send in beginning of December - he got a call today to arrange with FedEx for pick up in POS.....been almost 2 months they have had his PP & there are no issues on his file at all....simple, straight forward, no kids, etc. Looks like POS is...

A wedding in Jamaica is beautiful! I know that the posted times are very intimidating - the waiting is very difficult and will test the strength of your relationship every single day, but as some have already said, when he finally arrives, it will be as if he was always here. The time will...

You can apply for the Canadian Visa, but I have to be honest - since I have been on here and from my own personal experience, it is a waste of money! The way they see it is after you are married, why would your hubby leave now? It is totally up to you, but based on all of the people on the...

The SIN is a federal number so it shouldn't be any different from one Province to another to apply - it was super easy (took about 15 mins) in Ontario! Our government is f@&ked - so very frustrating for you Mrs. P! They gave my hubby the piece of paper and told him to never lose it -...

Hi There I don't see where anyone has answered your question about the "bride's copy" of the marriage license. No, you cannot use that - you have to wait until you get the actual marriage registration from the Registrar General. As most have indicated, using a lawyer is totally your choice...

In Ontario, we have 3 classes of licensed - G1, G2 & G. When hubby landed, he had his letter from the tax office in Kingston proving that he has had his license for 4+ years. As cafelatte says - in order to "skip" the whole process, you have to come from certain countries where there are...

Just out of curiosity.....and not that I am saying he was fake, but does anyone know what happened with Maddants? Some of the newer members might not recognize the name, but Sammy will......he had an interview, waited for the results for a while and then all of sudden stopped posting, but I see...
