Citizenship in process, but leaving Canada

Nothing in the law says you cannot leave Canada after applying (C-24 changes that, of course, but your application is being processed under the pre-C-24 law). It is of little use to speculate how CIC officers may interpret someone's absence, but nothing in the law regulates what is considered a...

Going to Miss my Test/Interview date

I may be wrong, but one of the triggers for RQ is a recent stamp showing entry into Canada, so even if you rush to make it to the test you may still get RQed.

Will a US immigrant approval affect granting of my Canadian citizenship?

I am assuming you qualify under the pre-C-24 Act, in which case, nothing in the Act prevents you from seeking residence elsewhere. Having said that, law and practice are two different things, so it's hard to say what the impact may be.

Moving out of the country while applying for citizenship

CIC does not send correspondence outside Canada, so you would need to use an address in Canada.

Moving out of the country while applying for citizenship

It would appear you are correct, but nothing is certain yet; we will have to wait and see how and when they plan to implement that particular clause. Having said that, I think chances are that it won't apply to people that already applied.

    C-24 Retro-activity and Applicability

It's a convoluted piece of legislation, but the answer should be in the transitional provisions section, particularly this part:

To what extent the said information is accurate

My two cents: nothing in the current citizenship act says that you cannot leave Canada and go work abroad while your application is in process. However, it appears that CIC resents those who do, and since they cannot legally deny their application, often they try to make their life harder by...

Submit the RQ-related documents prior to receive RQ ?

There is a lot to be said for the ability to follow instructions. There is a reason they do not request these documents with your original application.

Getting marrried from outside of Canada while Citizenship application in progres

No effect at all. I got married while my application was pending, and when I called CIC to inform them, I got scolded by the agent, who told me that this was only relevant if I was applying for residency.

Who is my MP? (currently outside Canada)

I am currently working outside Canada. Given my circumstances, could I contact any MP, or do I have to contact the MP for the riding where I used to live, or am I simply left without representation? I would appreciate you insight on this.
