Hi our letter already states that the PR visa my husband is getting will be valid till feb 2015. so that means he has untill then to enter canada. however we have friends who also JUST recieved their request for passport and they have only till JULY 2014. so i think its case by case.

if you can, get an immigration lawyer. its expensive but way way worth it cause they get faster replies, know the system, have contacts and can guide you to make sure you dont miss anything or mess up.
