My lawyer sent an email to embassy and we got a reply that your file is pending initial review. What does it mean? How long they'll take to process my application?

My timeline is as follows : Application received: 14th June,2013 Meds were done in May2013 Passport was submitted on August29: Received by NDVO on August30,2013 Till date ecas shows "Application received" and "Medical results received"

And got passport request August28. I sent my passport through blue dart on August29. Since then no update.

Yeah, i submitted landing fee along with my application.
