Family-based humanitarian program for Colombians, Haitians and Venezuelans

From that article, that's an insanely fast processing time! 4. How quickly will the Government of Canada respond to the request? The IRCC's goal is to welcome into its territory the majority of the 11,000 Venezuelans, Colombians and Haitians who benefit from this new immigration program "by...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hello all, I have an update and a couple of questions (they're most likely answered somewhere else in the forum, but I could not find them!). We filed an inland spousal application in early 2013. In early 2014, we were notified that our file was transferred to the inland CIC office (Edmonton)...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I am not sure; however, it does state that "Any SCLPC applications received at CPC-V after January 17, 2014, will be routed internally to CPC-M." This may mean that any additional documents may be routed internally to CPC-M. I would call CIC before to confirm the right place to send stuff to.

OWP Renewal before AIP and potential removal order

Refugee claimants do not really have any status (legal nor illegal) yet they can hold a work permit and renew it (and the OWP will not confer any sort of status by itself). Wether you fail or succeed with your refugee claim, you are still considered a refugee claimant and are allowed to renew...

OWP Renewal before AIP and potential removal order

Hello. I wanted to get your thoughts on our current situation and on what may be the best way to move forward. Here's a quick summary of our situation: 1. Genuine conjugal relationship for almost 6 years to a Canadian citizen. 2. Refugee claim rejected in April 2013. 3. No removal order yet...

Any updates on what the processing times are for files transferred to Edmonton? Latest update in this post mentions 24 months, but timeframes may have changed now. Does anybody have recent experience with this?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I have also heard and read in other posts/discussions that even some people who have AIP are called to CBSA. Once they go, CBSA makes copies of the information you've brought and the evidence that your application is in process and that your relationship is legitimate. Once they are satisfied...

help! re: spouse sponsorship/ spouse without status/ refugee claim denied

I know this is a bit late, but maybe it can still help. While I agree that it might be better/safer for your husband to leave the country and apply from outside, I can understand that it may be quite impractical. When I was reading through this manual from CIC about their processing of Spousal...

Check out the link I 'shared' (tried to share the link directly but couldn't, someone else posted it for me). Look at page 43 for the decision process and appendices B (AIP), G (sponsorship approved) and F (invitation to interview) to see what the actual letters look like.
