Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

A difference of a few days is okay. My wife and I got our cards 4 days apart. Her PR card was issued 4 days after mine. If the difference is more, like in my daughter's case, it is a problem. My daughter's card was not received with other cards, so I called CIC and found out that that there was...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

If you read this forum's earlier posts, you will see many similar cases. Based on those, I suggest attaching all the main documents you can... and don't take chances. No harm in sending more than required. So, attach CoPR, print of the email you received and of course IMM 5455. Good luck.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Your passport and CoPR are enough to get you in to Canada, but not on a flight. So I think it is wise to use your temporary visa to board a flight, provided the airline accepts it. Try asking the airline beforehand.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Hi, You don't need to fill any forms. The PR card application is automatically filed once you become a permanent resident, that is, upon landing. When you land, the border security officer takes the two copies of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) from you. He/she will keep the copy...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I don't know if anyone can help you here. When are you planning to travel? If you have a few weeks, I suggest you keep on calling the call centre to update you. Sometimes you get an agent who would give you more information. Regarding validation, I read this before on this forum. If I remember...

I see. Hmm... Well, I can imagine what I'd have done. I'd not have taken chances and re-sent them the photos with the letter and all other documents.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Many people send photos without even receiving a re-submission letter. In their case, they receive the information from CIC Call Centre and find out that the case is pending new photos, so they send it to CIC. And it works. Try reading the older posts and you'd get the idea. Moreover, read the...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

There is only one eCAS. No matter how many different ways to log in to it (via application number, case no. UCI number etc), you always land on the same page. Some people did mention on the forum that they could actually track their PR Card processing through eCAS, but majority could not track...

Latest processing time is 54 days. Add a week for mailing. And keep checking the processing time on CIC website, it is updated weekly and may change drastically. In my case, it increased every week by 7 or 10 days. When I landed it was 43 days, and increased every week to 110 days. So keep checking.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I suggest you immediately call CIC call centre and explain your case. The same happened with my daughter's PR Card. After the case started to appear on ECAS, the first line was like your husband's. The second line said the decision was made. We received her card within a week of "decision made"...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

The name and address of the photographer AND the date the photo was taken, have to be written at the back of one of the two photos that you have to send to CIC. I do not think if you take a soft image, anyone could write the date on when the photo was TAKEN or the image captured. It is not...

Average processing times keep on changing... that is why you see 53 days on the website but people got it late because the average time was longer back then. When we landed, the average time was 43 days and it kept on increasing every week and reached 110 days. We got our PR cards in 115 days.

They don't give you carbon copy of CoPR. When a Permanent Residence visa is issued, they give you two printouts of CoPR for each passport. One print out has applicant's photo while the other one is without the photo but similar information about the applicant. The one with the photo is kept by...

Answers: 1) Do we get updates of initial PR card on ECAS. Yes, sometimes you do. I got the address changed to the one I gave at landing. That happened after a week of landing. Then, after a four weeks or so, the status changed to "Completed". I received PR Card after a month of that. For some...

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Processing of PR Card involves many steps between the boarder agency officer entering the data, to quality checks, verification, sending the card for printing, printing, and lastly mailing out to the applicant. ECAS does not follow or update itself on these steps. For some applicants, their home...
