    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

FINALLY!!! Hubby got his OWP in the mail today! This is so exciting for me. His medicals also show received in the system as of March 30th. They aren't showing the police clearances have been received but hopefully that will come soon and we'll move forward.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

25 months and 1 day. That's how long it took to get AIP on our file. I was hoping that they'd quickly give us DM as well since we have sent them the medicals and everything (we thought), but instead they've requested some police thing from my husband's country which was already reviewed by CIC...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

This Thursday morning, after 750 days waiting for the first step, we finally will have our interview in Saskatoon. Hopefully my husband will leave there with AIP. In a perfect world they'd just land us and not put us through any more torture since we've been waiting for AIP for over 2...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I was actually on the radio show "The Current" on Monday. The next day the other two applicants had advancements on their own files. (They are from Toronto and Montreal) Unfortunately my husband's application didn't receive any attention from CIC. Our file is stuck (for the 14th month) in...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Today is our sad anniversary. 2 years on the 1st stage of Inland processing without AIP. Our file is stuck in Winnipeg and we sent in all the extra documents they've requested last month and haven't heard anything. CIC says they haven't even opened them. My husband's status is on the line...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hey fellow inlanders. After more than 23 months without so much as AIP, and 3 local office transfers, we finally got notice from Winnipeg that they require a bit more current proof of co-habitation. They didn't ask for proof of relationship and it looks like they won't be calling us for an...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

If our file had been left in Winnipeg it would have been processed April 2014 but because they failed to properly update our address they transferred it to Saskatoon when it got to the top of the pile and we went to the bottom of the Saskatoon pile.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Actually, there are people on the spreadsheet who also had cohabitation assessments that have had their PR long ago. Our file has fallen through the cracks.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I guess getting a lawyer is probably the only way anybody is going to take us seriously. My MP hasn't indicated they are willing to take this any further. But who has the money to hire lawyers when they've been in this situation for almost two years? We planned for the 8 months they told us...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Originally our file was transferred to Winnipeg because we were common law. Then to Saskatoon because that's where we were actually living. Now Saskatoon is claiming that they can't handle the number of applications they have to review so they're sending it to Winnipeg to be processed quicker...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I can hardly handle this anymore. After badgering my MP's office again this week, I've found out that the reason Saskatoon has transferred our file for the third time in a year is because Saskatoon can't seem to handle the backlog and thought it would get processed faster if sent to Winnipeg...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I hope this won't come out too confusing. Let me set up our timeline. AOR: March 16, 2013 January 2014 - transferred to Winnipeg (we were living in Saskatoon long before but they hadn't processed our address change so the file went to Winnipeg) April 2014 - transferred to Saskatoon December...

Conditional Discharge Probation: Are we still eligible to apply?

Hi there. My husband is currently on probation for a traffic related offense. He is on a conditional discharge so there is no conviction though he had to plead guilty to receive the discharge. Does he have to wait until the probation period is over in order to apply for Citizenship? It's not...

Do you mean you got your OWP under the new Pilot Project?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Well folks, it's our anniversary. 22 months on stage 1 with no word yet. I'd love to talk to a call centre agent today and wish them a happy anniversary but either the phones are genuinely too busy or they just don't want to talk anymore. :P

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Our file has been transferred twice due to immigration's error so first of all I'd suggest NEVER MOVE. We were together nearly two years and living together for 1 when we applied.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Well I'm a born and raised Canadian Citizen who's pretty much fed up with this country. Since I fell in love with an immigrant and we made the choice to go through this process I have been treated like a low class citizen. We have been waiting 21 long months for my husband's AIP. Our file has...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I just looked at the Excel file for the first time to see if I was actually on it...and it was depressing. My file must be skewing the entire average. The most encouraging thing has happened yet, if you want to see it that way. After 21 months stuck in the first step, and 8 months in...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Recap: File received in Vermillion March 6, 2013 File transferred to Winnipeg January 2014 File transferred to Saskatoon April 2014 As of today, 21 months without AIP or OWP. I called CIC again today. It's been a full 8 months that our file has been in the Saskatoon office, so the call centre...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Well maybe they figure they'll get a little more than just AIP done since we've been waiting for so long on this. That'd be great. But I can guarantee you we've never received any indication that we've gotten AIP.
