    Fake Canadian Immigration Team

It only works if the callers are based within the jurisdiction of the authorities of whom you are calling. If the person is calling from somewhere other than Canada, there will be little that law enforcement in Canada can do. It seems at least that the Edmonton Police Service is doing...

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

The person you quoted never said anything about a guarantee, just that a lot of people on here seem willing to take the same lawyer even though the original case has not reached conclusion. Basically, if all of these people hire the same lawyer, and the original case is unsuccessful, the rest...

    Anonymous Call

As noted, it is indeed a scam. The Canadian visa officers will not ask you to deposit or transfer money through any means other than as designated on official forms, and the fees are standard throughout all visa offices in CAD, so these are indicators of fraudulent immigration calls. Also...

    Fake Canadian Immigration Team

Hello, I just wanted to post some general information in regards to telephone(and online) scams: #1. Any unsolicited phone call/service that requires you to pay via Western Union (aka wire transfer) is almost always a guaranteed scam. Do not send any money via Western Union unless you wish...

My landing experience @Rainbow bridge, Niagara Falls

Re: My landing experience @ Rainbow bridge, Niagara Falls Just wanted to point out that "U-turning" is no longer a permitted practice. You must flagpole (I.e. actually attempt to enter the USA).

Which to me, makes sense. Routine apps require less work/time/expertise to process. However, if more apps are getting RQ'd than processed, I think the criteria for 'routine' needs to be redone. I'd be curious to know what percentage of applications are considered routine.

Nice. Might be more common across the pond, though I am reminded daily that I haven't seen nor heard everything and never will. Thank you for expanding my vocabulary just a bit more haha

20+ years of speaking English, reading English, and writing English and this is the first time I have come across that word. I even had to look up the definition to be certain.

    Citizenship for child

Well it does... to an extent. If the child is born in Canada to a Canadian parent, the child is automatically Canadian and cannot claim citizenship with India unless they renounce their Canadian citizenship (and the renounciation is granted)first due to India prohibiting dual citizenship.

    Citizenship for child

The child is a dual citizen (implied) until one nationality is pursued. You have the option, as parents, to decide if you want to pursue Canadian or India citizenship for the child, but the child cannot remain a citizen of both. The child can only claim one nationality at a time, though they...

Canadian Engaged to American-Settling in Canada worried about Immigration Rules

Okay, just wanted to be sure. I haven't really researched the K-1 as I am a Canadian citizen and so is my (now) wife. We had considered it though.

Child born to a Canadian Citizen outside Canada

The only way to expedite the processing is if your situation meets the requirements: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/urgent-proof.asp The only one that might remotely apply is the one about benefits, however, I am not sure if it truly applies to infants. If you do qualify, it will...

Canadian Engaged to American-Settling in Canada worried about Immigration Rules

I just wanted to ask if you are aware that the USA has a visa specifically for people who are coming to the USA to marry? It is the K-1 visa (Fiancee visa) and if you weren't aware of it, you may want to research it as it may be required for you to enter the USA for your wedding.

    scared DUI ticket

When I google Section 151 it comes up as sex offenses. When I look up the Traffic Safety Act, Alberta, Section 151 refers to operating commercial vehicles. However, Section 51 of the TSA DOES refer to driving without a license, or the proper license.

But if something isn't done about the minority, eventually they can become a majority. If the system is "broken" in any way, then it must be fixed, or else more will take advantage of the brokeness.

My Landing Experience at Peace Bridge, Fort Erie

Another point is that you may be refused landing if it is too busy, so try to go early in the morning on a weekday. Others have posted that they were refused, but tried again the next day when it was less busy and they were allowed to land.
