Do you guys have any idea what happens if after recieving SRS AWE nomination, nominated person is laid off? Will they cancel PR process or not ?

Did you ask your employer ? If he gets LMO for you, you can just apply for work permit extension to CIC http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/extend-stay.asp

I remember, while ago I read an article about ainp. Western provinces asked government to increase PNP limits from 5 to 10 tousands a year but Government denied it. I think limit shouldn't affect 2013 applicants, if they say 5500 nominations for 2014 that means for people who applied in 2014...
