Trying to keep a humorous mood inspite of all the frustration.. Did you hand in your passport or send it by courier?

Some are getting their passports back by 2 weeks time.. some are taking much longer.. i've been waiting since November 3rd. Just got a thread going so we can track other applicants input.. feel free to share yours...

London would instruct you where to send your passport. It would be clearly stated in your PPR email.

Not yet.. i don't live in UAE so visiting the embassy is not an option for me. All i got to know is that there are other applicants in the same loop.. there is some kind of delay at Abu dhabi embassy.. could be due to limited resources and a high number of applications being handled.. waiting is...

Indeed it is a choice.. and i'm not against any of these decisions, however some people urgently need their passports back for various reasons.. as an example, my temp visa where i reside has ended several weeks ago and now i'm stuck with an expired visa and no passport. Interesting... maybe we should start a thread for us lot awaiting passports from AUH! I can understand when you say it's kind of a relief in a way to know you're not alone.. My E-CAS status changed to decision made as soon as i got my PPR email from my visa officer. Your explanation on LVO...

London visa office were specific in their PHEP request that all enquiries in case of delays are to be made to London visa office and not Abu Dhabi. Hence, i didn't try contacting them.. you think i should?

You're still somewhat within the usual timeline.. hope you don't get the same wait myself and some others are going through.
