Sooo some good news for us, we phoned today after still not having received the PR card and they said it was mailed on May 8th. Guri I hope this is going to be the same for you as well!!! I will update everyone when we receive the card!

It's definitely better to be safe than sorry. We phoned and asked about leaving during the process, and they said that even in the event of a family death, you still will not be gauranteed entry back in. It really depends on the border guard. So I would only leave if it was an absolute emergency.

Yup.. called at the 10 week mark (Wednesday). They told us to call back Monday. >:(

Congratulations Guri!! I was there too!!!! I may have seen you and didn't even know it! Were you there alone? I wish I had known about the SIN thing. We hadn't applied for the SIN before and asked about it during the interview.. now we're worried because it will be another few months of waiting...

Hey everyone - glad to see all this awesome news lately! Congratulations all!!! We are still waiting for our landing date in Vancouver, but I understand it could be awhile. We sent off the OWP application yesterday (a bit lazy I know).

I really hope that's not the case... my partner and I are in Vancouver. We got DM last Monday... I might go insane if we had to wait 6 months for the landing date.
