That’s more than enough time to get a passport. For example, you can apply on the 21st and get your passport back on Friday 23rd... urgent processing and pick up option. In most cases, once ECAS says “complete”, you should be able to apply for a passport.

I think you should actually be grateful that the officer has been lenient so far, because some could consider this to be “misrepresentation” whether it was intentional or not. As others have said, withdraw and reapply since you have no proof of enough days.

This is why one should apply for citizenship as soon as they’re eligible. Should you do ‘something stupid’ there’s no deportation. Those who say PR status is good enough couldn’t be more wrong.

Fingerprint requests don’t necessarily cause delays in routine cases. In fact, your friend could end up taking the oath before you.

As you rightly said, your status had not changed. So, it’s safe to just “combine...”. From first date you obtain it to the day you became PR as long as you they were consecutive renewals or unbroken implied status.

Such people don’t need wise advice. They should go in their merry way and suffer the consequences. They’re the reasons for the insidious bill C-24.

I see what you’re saying. However, the very reason you would want to leave out the PoB is the very reason why border agents would be suspicious. Just imagine a US border agent asking you why is there no PoB, what would you say? A few leading questions... you get defensive etc. Then you will have...

Whenever I come back to this “famous” thread and I see/hear 2018, even 2019 applicants, complaining about not receiving AOR or test after 6 months, it’s easy to be derisive and angry at such people. Frankly speaking, I don’t know how I’d have dealt with this longgggg wait. Hats off to you guys!!!
