Hi all, I am submitting my OCI application and surrendering my Indian passport at the same time at BLS. I noticed I need to submit proof of surrendering Indian passport as part of my OCI application. Can I submit my application form instead since I don't have the surrender proof yet.

Thanks! When I sent my passport for CoPR, they asked me if there was a change in status but there was no change at that time (June). When I got my passport back (July) my status may have changed. Just wondering if they will be asking me again the port of entry if my status has changed. Any idea...

Sent passport June 13, delivered to CPC Ottawa June 15 and received my CoPR along with my passport today. Does anyone know what documents we need to take to the Port of entry for the landing procedure?

ETA is irrelevant when the passport is not even stamped. As I said earlier, passport not attached to application means they haven't processed the visa yet.

I just called CIC and I was told that the passport has not been attached to my file yet (meaning not stamped yet). I am not getting it before Wednesday for sure.

OK! Mine was delivered Thursday morning. I dont have any way of knowing what is happening with my application as I dont have the tracking number or access to MyCIC. Let`s see if my passport is in the mailbox when I get home.

Hi Amit, Do you have the tracking number for the return envelope? My passport was delivered to CIC last Thursday and I haven`t heard anything from them. Moreover, I forgot to note the tracking number for the return envelope.

I am a QSW Inland applicant as well. Got PPR on June 13, sent my passport the same day and it was delivered on June 15. I forgot to get the tracking number for the return envelope. Do you know of any way to track the passport? Will CIC entertain such a small request to provide me the tracking...

Book it on Tuesday and fly on weekdays.

You can fly anytime you want. Tuesday will get you the best price, airline booking sites' statistics show. This is primarily due to the start of the week, note that prices go up during the weekend.

Thanks for the info. I told you about my university (Concordia) on the other thread. I see you are going to UoOttawa, I got an admit for Masters in Engineering Management there but chose Concordia instead.

Fly in mid August for September start, book tickets on Tuesday for best price.
