hi all...quick question....parents arriving from overseas and landing need to apply for a PR card after landing? conflicting information I am getting...one says it mails out automatically and another says you have to apply for the initial card? please share your experience...thanks.

this is a very interesting topic and i am replying an old post...sorry about that.....but what if the dad or mom who is single now due to spouse death and gets re-married after landing in canada or in home country when they go back after LANDING only - do they have any legal rights to sponsor...

@robertp @YULIA-2016 SA Decision Made since Dec 20th, 2020 - PA side still processing.....no email and no letter anywhere can be found that if I am approved or not.

same here....june 2019 - SA in process since nov 2020 not even DM - how long does it take really just to get the SA approval?

hello....so my ecas activated yesterday and I am the representative of my dad's file. Now should I link the application under my cic account or his cic account? Because it says if you link an application to a cic account your representative will loose access to your file? what does it even...

@YULIA-2016 finally e-cas activated today. June 25 applicant. Father only living abroad. from Ontario Sponsorship and Principal Applicant status says received. No email nothing else showing up.

Me too....why there is a delay for us? is it just random?

June 25th received application ...no updates as of yet..no AOR...nothing...called the call center today and they gave me a temp # ….they also said its in staging state meaning no VO has been assigned to my file yet. I am from Ontario and applied for my father only
